Dethroned league champions Kumasi Asante Kotoko will play former Nigerian and African champions Enyimba FC at the Baba Yara Sport Stadium on Wednesday 3rd February.
The Nigerian Premier League side are believed to have put in the request to for the friendly which is being considered by the Kumasi-based side.
Sources close to the Porcupine Warriors have disclosed to GHANAsoccernet.com that the Nigerian champions are set to arrive in the country on Monday 1st February ahead of the game.
Asante Kotoko were expected to play FA Cup champions Medeama SC on the said date but the match was cancelled by the Reds.
The source further revealed that the Porcupine Warriors initially declined the offer to play Enyimba but the Nigerian side is bent on playing the game on Wednesday.
Even though officials of the Porcupine Family are tight-lipped on the match, a close management source disclosed that the Nigerian club has made the approach and the Porcupine Warriors will confirm the game by close of work today.
