Kumasi Asante Kotoko are considering a shock move for Ghanaian striker, Emmanuel Banahene, after he terminated his contract with Egyptian side, Ismaily.
According to reports, Kotoko, a club in desperate search of a clinical striker, is expected to table a record-breaking bid for the player who has been a major target for rivals, Accra Hearts of Oak, who have already commenced talks.
The 25-year-old, after terminating his contract with his former club, Ismaily, over unpaid salaries, has received numerous offers, both in Europe and Africa but is undecided about his next move.
In a related development, the prolific striker has reported the issues concerning his contract to football’s world governing body, FIFA, where he is seeking a USD 200,000 compensation from Ismaily.
