Dreams FC coach, Abdul Karim Zito has stated that Asante Kotoko took his warning for granted and that explains why his side came out victorious in their recent G-8 game.
Karim Zito before the game warned Kotoko not to underestimate his team but he believes they failed to take his warning seriously.
“Fantastic, the boys did very well, both teams did very well. As usual I think I told you about it. During pre-season, these are some of the things that happen in the game.
“Watching your tactical awareness, the ability and capabilities of the boys; I think sounded this warning to Kotoko that I will beat them. Maybe they took me for granted but I did it at long last so I’m happy” Zito told the Kumasi media.
Karim Zito also revealed the sort of relationship that exists between him and his players and how that affects their performance.
“Yes, there is a big relationship between my players and I, once I’m the father; I’m a parent, even as the coach so I treat them like my young boys; when I’m serious they know, when it’s time for me to joke they know” he added.
