Asante Kotoko head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum has disclosed that the club will no longer sign players from the lower divisions of the Ghana league.
Coach Ogum explained that the Porcupines will no longer heavily rely on players from the lower tier but will strategically sign competent players.
The Porcupine Warriors signed ten players from Division One and the Two Division last season in the league campaign.
Speaking in an interview on the club's channel, Ogum was clear about the type of players the club will sign next season.
“We need to do a lot of structural changes in the playing body with respect to the signing of some players to come to augment,” Ogum stated.
“This time, we will sign not players from lower divisions, but players who have experience in the Premier League. So, these are basically some of the things that we need to also do.”
Kotoko has already parted ways with 18 players following the end of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League campaign.
