Francis Kyeremeh of Serbian side FK Jagodina is confident his side will give Ghana giants Asante Kotoko a good game to commemorate their 80th anniversary at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi on Sunday.
Jagodina replaced Greek side Veria FC, who pulled out of the arrangement.
Kyeremeh, 18, previously played for former Ghana top-flight side B.A United and is the only Ghanaian in the Jagodina setup.
“I don’t believe the game will be easy for Kotoko as many Ghanaians perceive,” Kyeremeh said. “We’ve prepared well for the game after returning from the break this week and everyone is ready to give Kotoko a good match.
“I’ve been talking to the entire team about Kotoko since I'm the only Ghanaian among them and have an experience playing against them in the past while in Ghana. I’ve told them about the supporters and how they contribute immensely for the club to win games when things are not going as expected,” he added.
Kickoff is set for 15h00 on Sunday.
