Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Felix Annan says they are aiming at defeating Kenyan side Kariobangi Sharks in the Caf Confederation Cup first round first leg fixture on Saturday.
The Porcupine Warriors will be playing their first game of the competition after they were awarded a walkover victory in the preliminary round last month.
Kariobangi, on the other hand, thrashed Arta FC of Djibouti 9-1 on aggregate to book their place at this stage and are hoping to add the Ghanaian giants to their list of victims.
"We are not going to Kenya to settle for a draw. We are going there to win so that the second leg would be a mere formality. We have a strong squad to achieve that,” Annan said, as quoted by Footballghana.
“We are currently playing very well. The new players are coping very well with the old ones and we are in good shape too,” he added.
Kotoko thrashed Ghana U23 national team 3-0 in a friendly match on Sunday as part of preparations for the upcoming meeting.
