Mohammed Kudus has heaped praise on his fellow Black Stars player, Kamaldeen Sulemana, following the latter's recent success with English club Southampton.
Kudus, a product of the renowned Right To Dream Academy in Ghana, was responding to a picture of Sulemana at a parade celebrating Southampton's promotion to the Premier League.
"When a king's palace burns down, the rebuilt palace is more beautiful," Kudus said of Kamaldeen and Southampton's promotion in a post on his official X page.
The Saints, along with Leicester City and Ipswich Town, are the three teams that have secured promotion to the top tier of English football.
Southampton defeated Leeds United 1-0 in the Championship Playoffs final at Wembley Stadium on Sunday, marking a swift return to the Premier League.
England international Adam Armstrong scored the only goal of the game on the 24th minute mark to help Southampton secure a narrow victory to clinch promotion back to the Premier League.
Although the Black Stars winger was an unused substitute in the highly anticipated match, his contributions to the club's promotion campaign cannot be overlooked.
The 22-year-old Ghanaian attacker was limited to just 26 appearances in the Championship due to injury setbacks but provided three assists during that time.
Sulemana joined the Saints in January 2023 from Stade Rennes, signing a contract that will keep him at the club until 2027.
