Kumasi Sports Stadium ready to host Asante Kotoko in their Africa campaign

Baba Yara Stadia Kotoko will be competing in the years CAF Confederations Cup after winning the MTN FA cup

Regional Sports Development Officer (RSDO), Joshua Mensah has assured Asante Kotoko that the Baba Yara Sports Stadium will be ready to host their Africa campaign home matches.

The Porcupine Warriors will be competing in the years CAF Confederations Cup after winning the MTN FA Cup defeating their archrivals, Hearts of Oak in the finals.

The Reds will face Congolese Club, Athlétique Renaissance Aiglon (CARA) in the preliminary stages of 2018 CAF competition.

The first leg will be played on the weekend of 9th to 11th February 2018 whilst the second leg comes off on the 20th-21st February 2018.

Speaking to the press, Mr Mensah gave big assurance of the readiness of the edifice to host Kotoko’s Confederations Cup matches.

“I’m glad to inform you that the Baba Yara Sports Stadium is ready to host Kotoko in all their African campaign and I want to assure you that the venue is ready for the competitions to come 11th February.

“As you can see we, in a very dry season but we are ready to do whatever it takes to keep the field in good shape.

“We will make sure that the pitch is as green as possible before the competition starts”, he added.
