The Chairman of the MTN FA Cup Committee, Kurt E. S. Okraku has applauded the appointment of Kenichi Yatshuashi as the Head Coach of Ghana Premier League side, Inter Allies.
Okraku says Kenichi’s coming will give the local game the mileage to the foreign world as witnessed during his first stint at Accra Hearts of Oak in 2016.
That time, spectatorship at Hearts of Oak matches shot up dramatically because of the American-Japanese coach, whose presence revived enthusiasm in the game. Not just that, he also chalked vital wins for the Phobians – the most spectacular one being their 2-1 victory over Ashgold at Obuasi.
“It’s a good addition to the Premier League. We love to see good following [in the league] and I think if Inter Allies [perform] well, I am sure we will get good following next season” said Kurt, who doubles as the Chief Executive Officer of Premier League returnees, Dreams FC.
