An Executive Committee member of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt E. S. Okraku has expressed the GFA’s gratitude to Gruope Nduom for their unflinching support for the just ended GFA/StarTimes 2018 Gala competition.
Groupe Nduom offered the Nduom Sports Stadium at Elmina for the organisation of the competition. Wa All Stars beat newly promoted Ghana Premier League side, Eleven Wonders 4-2 on penalties, to win the competition.
Chairman of the competition’s committee, Kurt Okraku in his assessment observed that, the decision to take the Gala to Elmina was a good one and thanked Groupe Nduom.
“It was a God-sent decision. We never regretted playing at Elmina. Groupe Nduom gave us all the maximum support…We thank Dr. Paa Kwesi Ndum for his support” said Kurt.
“We are praying for God to grant him long life, good health, so that, he will be able to support the course of Ghana football”. Kurt Okuraku also talked about the new FIFA rules on penalties.
“It was good to introduced it. It puts pressure on both side. None of the teams will relax, we wanted the teams to get used to it. It’s a new rule FIFA is introducing. Going forward we’re [we will] adopt it” Kurt ended.
