Kwadwo Asamoah facing tough competition for Juventus starting place in Barcelona clash

Juventus midfielder kwadwo Asamoah is facing competition from Alex Sandro in the side's starting place in Tuesday's UEFA Champions League quarter-final clash against Barcelona.

Asamoah, 28, must beat off competition from the Brazilian to earn a starting berth at the Juventus stadium in Turin.

The Ghana international was far from convincing in the side's last Seria A game to give Sandro the chance to play ahead of the African, media reports in Italy have claimed.

Manager Massimiliano Allegri is expected to rely on his tested 4-2-3-1 formation ahead of the visit of the Spanish giants.

It's unclear if Allegri will keep faith with the muscle Ghanaian or rely on the Brazilian.
