Ghana star Kwadwo Asamoah is confident that he can help Inter Milan to achieve something meaningful.
The 29-year-old joined the San Siro outfit from Juventus last week and he is ready to give his best.
“We can do really well this year, Inter has everything needed to play a big role. Physically, I’m in good shape. I train every day and I’m ready for this adventure.” Asamoah stated doing his unveiling on Tuesday.
“I’m happy to be here. I only started to work yesterday with the team and my new teammates but I already feel a part of the Nerazzurri family.”
Asamoah also indicated that he could have opted to stay at Juventus but he decided to seek a new challenge at Inter Milan.
“There was the possibility to stay in Turin but I chose this shirt. I wanted a new experience, as did my family. Inter are doing well, I hope to improve further here and to do important things.”
“The Champions League is a difficult competition for any team. We’ll have the chance to measure up against the best clubs in Europe. We want to do well and go as far as possible.”
He added: “I spoke with Spalletti and the directors about the project and the club’s objectives. I want to do something important and that’s why I’m here. My role? Either as a full-back or midfielder, I’m ready to give everything.”
Asamoah spent five fruitful years at Juventus where he made 156 appearances scoring five goals and providing 21 assists. He also won six Serie A league titles.
