Franceville, Gabon Jan. 30, GNA - A dissatisfied Black Stars goalkeeper, Adam Larsen Kwarasey seeks improvement in his personal performance regardless of the fact that he had kept clean sheets in all two outings.

Kwarasey has not conceded any goal in the Black Stars wins over Botswana and Mali but the goalkeeper feels unimpressed by his own output and contribution to the team.

He told GNA Sports in Franceville that “the team fought well and played very well in our games so far but I am not impressed with my own performance”.

The player appeared jittery in Ghana's 2-0 win over Mali and almost conceded a free kick and struggled with two Eagles attempt at goal in a manner that left the Stars feeling let off the hook. Kwaraseys's performance has been the major talking point in the team this far and though Deputy Coach, Akwasi Appiah has jumped into his defence, insisting none can expect perfection on the field, the goalkeeper feels the team deserves better from him.

“I keep clean sheets in two games which is good enough. However, I know I can do better and I didn't impress myself in those two games; especially the one against Mali”. He stated.

“All I seek to do now is to improve because I had difficulty dealing with the set pieces and now I want to work hard and get comfortable with those mistakes so together we can keep pushing forward.” The goalie indicated.

Kwarasey is playing in his debut at the continental meeting after taking over as Ghana's number one spot having successfully undergoing a nationality switch.

The 24- year old took over from Richard Kingston who stayed as the number one for six years.
