Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah has praised the players he excluded from his provisional World Cup squad for their level of comportment.
Appiah admitted difficulty in coming out with his 26-man squad due to the availability of talents.
Ghana’s captain at the last World Cup, John Mensah, was dropped likewise defender Isaac Vorsah who lacked the required match-fitness.
In the past, players have gone bananas when dropped or exclusion from squads to major tournaments but they have no cases of misconduct this term.
“I am really happy with the response I have gotten from some of the guys who couldn’t make the team,” Appiah told GHANASoccernet.com.
“They have shown maturity and understood that it has got nothing to do with personal relationship.
“I wouldn’t want to mention names but I really have been left impressed with most of them.”
