Fenerbahçe forward Andre Ayew and Crystal Palace ace Jordan Ayew have again been left out of Ghana’s squad for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sierra Leone as the tension between the coach and the Ayew family deepens.

The duo have not featured for the Black Stars since the team’s 1-1 draw with Congo at the Baba Yara Stadium in a FIFA World Cup qualifier in September last year.

Both players withdrew from the squad days later ahead of the return leg sighting various reasons.

That incident is believed to be the cause of their apparent exile from the team, but Kwesi Appiah has continued to deny these assertions.

However, their latest omission from the team, particularly the case of Andre Ayew who has been impressive in Turkey this season has raised a lot of eyebrows.

Appiah has invited 23 players including captain Asamoah Gyan and six other players returning to the squad.

The Black Stars are looking to bounce back from the 1-0 defeat to Kenya last month.
