German-born Bayern Munich forward Kwesi Okyere Wriedt has opted to represent the Ghana over Germany.

The 23-year-old poacher insisted he is not troubled by the decision to choose his parents country over his country of birth.

Wriedt, who has netted 70 goals in German lower league since his debut in 2014 says he opted for the Black Stars because he feels more Ghanaian than German.

“I made consultations with my parents and I think I am more inclined to Ghana than Germany. I was born here and I have stayed here all my life but I see myself as a Kumasi boy,” he told Sports Journalist Saddick Adams.

“I am a Mampong blood so I choose Ghana. It will be a dream come true. I have always wanted to be in Ghana jersey."

Wriedt is being tipped as the heir to Robert Lewandowski's throne at Bavarian giants.

He has 22 goals in 28 games for Bayern Munich II and has already been handed a senior debut by Jupp Henckeys in the Bundesliga and DFB Pokal this season.
