LIVE UPDATES: Nigeria vs Guinea (2019 AFCON) Nigeria’s Super Eagles could become the first team to qualify to the last 16 stage of the 2019 AFCON if they manage to beat Guinea this afternoon.

Nigeria’s Samuel Kalu has been cleared of dehydration to play in today’s but defender Abdullahi Shehu is yet to return from the hamstring injury he sustained on Saturday.

In the aftermath of their draw with Madasgacar, Guinea’s FA president sent a message to the players, reminding of their mission in the tournament and that’s the motivation they will be carrying into today’s game.

Nigeria and Guinea’s only previous AFCON encounter came in March 1976 in the group stages and it ended 1-1.

Guinea are unbeaten in their last four meetings against Nigeria in all competitions after winning none of their previous eight games against the Super Eagles.
