Harry Kane will look to continue his sensational goal scoring run when Tottenham travel to Champions League holders Real Madrid tonight.

The England striker tops the scoring charts in Europe's elite club competition with five goals from two games and has 15 goals from his last 11 games for club and country.

Kane's goals have seen Spurs kick-off their Champions League campaign with two wins for the first time, and he will no doubt have a part to play if they are to end their four-game goal drought against the reigning European champions.

Real have also won their first two group games, and their clash with Spurs could have a large bearing on who tops Group H.

Pochettino believes that the Madrid clash is an opportunity for Tottenham to show how far they have come in Europe.

"We have a young team that does not have too much experience at this level," he said. "This last step, so to speak, that seems to be quite close, but is difficult to reach, it's a great chance for us to see our capability at mental level, as well as physical and tactical level."

Pochettino's counterpart, Zinedine Zidane, is wary of the threat Kane possesses ahead of tonight's game, and has labelled the 24-year-old as a "complete player".

"He is very good at everything. But what he does, he always does it towards the goal, so to speak," the Real boss said.

"He does not just stay (still) on the field, but he always attacks space at speed. He is a complete player. He did not seem to be one at first, but in the end, he is."
