President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is addressing the United Nations General Assembly at its 74th meeting in New York, in areas of education, protection of human rights and health among other things.
It is expected that Nana Addo will extol the benefits and progress of his Free Senior High School education policy in Ghana and the strides his government has made in the areas of Human Rights as well as Health.
The President, who is also a Co-Chair of the group of Eminent Leaders on the UN Sustainable Development Goals, is also expected to give an account of the group’s work so far towards the achievement of the SDGs.
The United Nations General Assembly kicked off on Tuesday in New York with world leaders and diplomats from 193 nations coming together to try and address a range of pressing issues.
