Samuel Anim Addo, a former member of the Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association, has voiced his belief in Laryea Kingston's potential to ascend as one of Ghana's iconic coaches.
In a social media post on Monday, May 20, 2024, the renowned football agent praised Laryea Kingston's achievements, which he believes signal a promising future for Ghanaian football.
He highlighted Kingston's rapidly growing status as one of the nation's most esteemed tacticians and expressed optimism that the ex-Black Stars winger will continue to hone his coaching skills and soon take a leading role in national football.
Anim Addo called on Ghanaians and all involved parties to support the emerging coaches, recognizing their capacity to make significant contributions to the nation's football scene.
"Laryea Kingston is quickly becoming synonymous with national coaching excellence. His ability to translate the technical skills, passion, and enthusiasm from his distinguished playing days into his coaching is remarkable. His current role as coach of the Ghana U17 Male Team, The Black Starlets, is just the start of what promises to be an even more successful coaching career," he stated.
"Figures like Laryea Kingston assure us that the future of football coaching in Ghana is bright. Let's rally behind him and the upcoming generation of coaches. It's thrilling to think that, thanks to the efforts of @ghanafaofficial and @GroupKGL, Ghana will soon produce coaches who will stand on the shoulders of giants like C.K Gyamfi, Osam Doudou, E.K Afranie, Jones Atuquayefio, Herbert Addo, Coach Edusei, Oti Akenteng, Isaac Paha, and others," he added.
Since taking over as coach of the Black Starlets in April, Kingston has played a pivotal role in the team's transformation. Ghana is now on the cusp of qualifying for the U-17 Africa Cup of Nations, a feat not achieved since 2017.
The Black Starlets' campaign at the WAFU U-17 Championship commenced with an impressive 5-1 win against Ivory Coast at the University of Ghana Stadium in Legon.
