Laryea Kingston says he wants to open contract talks with Hearts over a new deal and is enjoying life at Tynecastle.
The 28-year-old, who has less than 12 months left on his current deal, has been linked with a move to the English Premier League after impressing in the SPL last season.
But the Ghana international insists he is happy in Edinburgh and is keen to open negotiations with Hearts officials over a possible new deal.
Kingston revealed: "I have not spoken to the club about an extension but I am happy here.
"My family, my kids are happy so if Hearts come to me and say they want to talk about extending my contract, then why not?"
The midfielder added: "I want to give more for the club. I have missed a lot of important games, but I am hoping that this season everything will be fine."
