The Public Relations Officer of Latex Foam, Gifty Appiah has said that the company’s sponsorship of the Bok Nam Kim monthly tournament is a manifestation of their commitment to the development of golf in the country.
The company, as part of their 50th anniversary celebrations took up the challenge of supporting one of the country’s least financed sporting disciplines and Gifty Appiah reckons the decision has been worthwhile.
Speaking at the end of the August edition of the competition Gifty Appiah remarked that her outfit has been impressed with the organization of the tournament and will not renege in their bid to see golf developed to its apex.
“Apart from football and hockey we haven’t really explored much into the sporting area so we thought that this year being our 50th anniversary, we’ll look at something grandeur so we decided to come to the aid of golf and we must say that we have not regretted it one bit. It has been an exciting journey and an eye opener”.
“It is not what I expected it to be personally. It is rather more serious and it’s a big deal. The participation and membership alone is mind blowing. We do not intend relenting on sports anytime soon so as the years go by, I’m sure we will find innovative ways of still staying relevant to the sport’ she said.
