Claude Le Roy, the French born coach of the Black Stars of Ghana, has stated that there would be absolutely nothing wrong with his applying for the vacant job of the South African national team while still under contract with the GFA since he has only a few months left in his current contract...

Le Roy had come under heavy criticism from local media after it was revealed that an agent had applied on his behalf for the job made vacant by the departure of Carlos Alberto Perreira.

In an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA), the Frenchman said though he did not endorse the email that carried his application, there was absolutely nothing wrong with a coach under contract seeking a new job.

“It is acceptable for any coach to apply for a job when his contract has a few months to run out,” Le Roy told the newspaper

Le Roy also stated that he has not yet had a contract extension with the GFA, even though both parties seem to have agreed to it

"It is very sad that everyone in the whole world read that I had extended my contract to coach the Black Stars and up to now it's not true. I have not seen nor received any contract and let alone signed one," he added.
