Ghana international Majeed Ashimeru has reacted after inspiring Anderlecht to secure an away win over Royal Antwerp in the Belgium Jupiler Pro League on Sunday, August 4, 2024.

Despite making substitute appearance, the Black Stars midfielder emerged as the hero after scoring the match winner for the Lotto Park outfit.

The 26-year-old needed only five minutes to make the difference in the thrilling clash at the Bosuilstadion as his side cruised to a 2-1 win.

He replaced Mario Stroeykens in the 74th minute mark before going to score the match winner for the visiting team.

“Good win💜💜Legends don’t die, they live forever” he wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Anderlecht opened the scoring in the 25th minute mark following an own goal from Senne Lammens in the thrilling clash on Sunday.

The host responded with an equalizer in the 33rd minute after Gyrano Kerk found the back of the net following an assist from Vincent Janssen. The first half of the much-anticipated clash ended in a 1-1 draw.

However, it was Ashimeru who made the difference in the game after climbing off the bench to score to snatch maximum points for the visitors.
