Legons Cities skipper Fatawu Dauda is confident his club will avoid the drop should the league be continued.
Speaking on Cape Coast-based Live FM, the Legon Cities goalkeeper revealed that his team is ready to play if the FA decides to resume the 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League season and he remains hopeful that they will improve their current league position and avoid relegation.
“The truncation of the league depends on the FA but we are ready to play. Legon cities will not be at our current position on the log forever and we shall skip relegation,” he said.
Fatawu Duada 35, however believes the Ghana Premier League can be as competitive and attractive if the government supports the football administrators in the country.
“The league can be competitive, the government can also help the clubs because, in Nigeria, the government helps a lot,” he added.
