ACCRA, Ghana - World heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis says he'll talk with promoter Don King about his boxing future — and hints it could include more boxing, at a price.
"The world hasn't seen the best of me," Lewis told reporters on arrival at the international airport in Accra, the capital of Ghana.
Lewis is making a 10-day private visit to the West African nation, in part to attend the wedding of a friend.
King — chasing Lewis to talk business — would finally catch up with him here, Lewis said.
"Don King is in town so me and him are going to talk, I know he is here to talk to me so I have to see what he says," Lewis said Thursday night.
"Right now, I am just enjoying my win over Mike Tyson and I would probably let the world know what I am planning to do later on," he said.
The 36-year-old Lewis knocked out Mike Tyson in June to retain the WBC and IBF heavyweight titles.
He has suggested since that he might retire — or at least demand more money to fight. "Put it this way, my price has gone up," he told The Observer newspaper in Britain earlier this month.
Lewis made a point of noting in the same interview he had taken the Don King-free route to boxing success. Ghana, however, saw a much more receptive Lewis.
"I have accomplished a lot and I am very proud of and very happy with what I have. There is still a couple of things out there that I have to accomplish in the business and personal aspects, those kind of things," he said.
Besides the session with King, Lewis is to meet with Ghana President John Kufuor and watch up-and-coming young boxers in Ghana.
