German Bundesliga side Bayern Leverkusen have confirmed their interest in out of contract Marseille and Ghanaian attacker Andre Ayew.
Leverkusen coach Roger Schmidt revealed his club sent a delegation to France to scout the Ghanaian international when his side Marseille lost at home to Paris Saint German in their last Ligue 1 game.
“We were in Marseille to watch their Marseilles game against PSG. Top game and very interesting. We didn’t look at one player because there were so many great player on the pitch and Andre Ayew was one of them," he told Eurosports in an interview.
The 25-year-old is on the radar of many top European clubs with AS Roma the latest to confirm their interest in the player.
Ayew will depart Marseille next season on a high note after impressively scoring 57 goals in 187 appearances in all competitions for the club since 2010.
