Accra, Aug 9, GNA - Dansoman-based Liberty Oldies Club exhibited maximum superiority over their counterparts from Benin by humiliating them 4-0 in front of their home fans in an international friendly played at the weekend.

The Ghanaians who travelled to Benin as favourites sold out an impressive game spiced with flair, great inter-positional play and crafty display of good football.

It was two goals hero, Sheriff Mensah who gave the visitors a blistering start when he capitalized on sloppy marking from the Benin defence to slot home the opener in the 28th minute after numerous surges upfront.

Benin quickly regrouped after the early set back and managed to contain the Ghanaians for the rest of the first half. It was, however, the Alhaji Sly Tetteh-led team that came from recess a rejuvenated side and struck thrice within 16 minutes to wrap up the game.

Oliver Afful profited from a Joseph Aryettey's set up to score the second goal in the encounter which saw the home side' Abass Salami and Anjoren conceding the midfield battle during the period of the match. Mensah then followed suit with his personal second and the team's third three minutes later after racing off his markers before placing the ball in the yawning net.

The Liberty financial bank roller after setting up the third goal, added his name to the score sheet by recording a brilliant goal with a 30 meter drive when he was gifted from an Afful's pull out.
