Beposo (W/R) Aug. 30 GNA - Cape Coast Liberty Rainbow emerged the gala champions when they bagged seven points in a special gala soccer competition organised by the Chiefs and people of Beposo to climax their annual Afashyie festival at Beposo at the week-end. Four Colts teams made up of Semens Academy and Red Lions, both from Beposo and AC Milan from Dompoase and Cape Coast Liberty Rainbow participated in the competition.
Beposo (W/R) Aug. 30 GNA - Cape Coast Liberty Rainbow emerged the gala champions when they bagged seven points in a special gala soccer competition organised by the Chiefs and people of Beposo to climax their annual Afashyie festival at Beposo at the week-end. Four Colts teams made up of Semens Academy and Red Lions, both from Beposo and AC Milan from Dompoase and Cape Coast Liberty Rainbow participated in the competition. Rainbow beat Red Lions 1-0, drew goalless with AC Milan and went ahead to pip Semens Academy 1-0 to win the tournament. The Cup at stake could not be presented to the winners because supporters of Simens Academy from Beposo invaded the field to disrupt the proceedings.
