Liberty team manager Thompson dead

The longest serving team manager of Liberty Professionals Francis Bruce Thompson is dead, Starr Sports can confirm.

According to a family source, he died in Accra on Tuesday dawn after complaining of pains in the heart.

He was being rushed to hospital when death struck.

Thompson has been in football administration over the last 10 years after working with Hearts of Oak, Liberty Professionals and Bechem United.

Last month, he had one of his legs amputated at the St. John's of God Hospital in Duayaw-Nkwanta due to his diabetic situation.
