Bechem United midfielder Charles Mensah says life has been difficult without football for the past weeks following the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic.
The disease also called COVID-19 has led to the suspension of the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League in bid to prevent the spread of the virus as part of safety precautionary measures.
The country is currently under a two-week partial lock-down.
As of 4th April 2020, Ghana has recorded a total of 214 cases of COVID-19 with five (5) deaths.
"As a footballer it has not been easy to be without football so we are hoping this Pandemic end soon so we can get back to the field," the 20-year-old told Ghanapremierleagueupdates.com.
"It won’t be a bad idea of helping fight this Pandemic but in Ghana here the salary of the players is not much that you can slash. But for me if our playing body accept the pay cut it won’t be a problem.
Mensah has made 15 appearances for the Bechem United, scored one goal and provided three assists in the suspended league.
