Belgium based Black Stars winger Frank Opoku Acheampong and his Anderlecht teammates are set for a historic European landmark later tonight when they take on Zenith St Petersburg. The PRO league will be marking it’s 400th European tie when they take to the pitch away to the Russian giants.
Two goals from Frank Acheampong in the first leg of the UEFA Europa league last 32 ties put Anderlecht in the driving seat going into the return leg in Russia. The Ghana international and his team mates are however set for a historic feat in Russia with a place in the last 16 at stake.
Anderlecht starred in a number of European seasons and an away win in their 400 outing in the continent will be an icing on the cake. Acheampong however could be making a switch to English football in the summer transfer window with a number of premier league side on course to lure the diminutive wide man.
