In-form Ghana forward, Jordan Ayew, is reportedly a subject of a surprise bid by English side Liverpool.
The Lorient striker after a remarkable season in the French Ligue One scored a brace on international duty as Ghana hammered Mauritius 7-1 in the 2017 Nations Cup qualifiers at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
According to reports in the English media, Jordan could follow his brother Andre [who recently signed for Swansea City] to the Premier League with Liverpool apparently ready to offer £5m for him.
Last week, the 23-year-old admitted to supersport.com that it was going to be difficult to leave current club Lorient after a breakthrough first season.
“I had a great season this term at Lorient. The team loves me, the fans and administration love me so I think it is going to be very difficult for me to leave. But we will see what happens when I return to France,” Jordan said.
“I know it will be very difficult so I think if I stay one more year, it is not going to be a bad choice for me,” he added.
Jordan notched 13 goals for Lorient this past season and is reported to have received interests from six Premier League clubs with another French side LOSC Lille weighing their offer.
