Liverpool supporters in Kumasi to converge on Aug. 29

The biggest gathering of Ghanaian supporters of English Premier League side, Liverpool Fc will be staged on Saturday 29th August in Kumasi.

It is the first public meeting of the Liverpool Supporters Union of Ghana.

The groundbreaking event will take place at the plush X5 Pub in Krofrom, a suburb of Kumasi.

The events seeks to bring together ardent Liverpool supporters across the length and breadth of Ghana.

Apart from mobilising support for their idol club, the Liverpool Supporters Union will also be engaged in positive community action which involves interaction with other supporters groups of English clubs and local Ghanaian football clubs.

Prominent Reds supporters like Harry Awuah and Nana Gyembibi of Sika FM will be hosting the event.

Other names that come to mind when it comes to Liverpool supporters in Ghana include Christopher Opoku of Citi FM, Carl Tuffour of Gtv, CEO of Metro TV Talal Fatal and Supersport anchor Yaw Ampofo Ankrah.

The coordinator of Saturday's gathering Harry Awuah, has promised an exciting and spectacular supporters rally for Liverpool who host Westham United at Anfield on Saturday.

The Liverpool Supporters Union currently has three online platforms with total membership close to 300.

The next Liverpool Supporters Union meeting is scheduled to take place in Accra in October.
