Berekum Chelsea forward Kofi Owusu has cried out that he’s growing obese as the CoronaVirus pandemic continues to have its toll on Ghana football.

With the Ghana Premier League suspended and clubs breaking camps, players have had to resort to individual training programs to keep fit and stay in shape.

For Berekum Chelsea’s Kofi Owusu this isn’t working as he is growing overweight due to the laxness in how training at home can be.

The player decries a directive from government to restrict the movement of people within the Greater Accra and Greater Kumasi areas to help curb the spread of the virus.

Kofi Owusu in an interview with OTEC FM says in as much as he agrees such measures are for the greater good in the fight against Covid-19, he, however, is struggling to cope with this arrangement hence his prayer for everything to be okay soon.

“Some of us cannot go out to train due to the partial lockdown directives by His Excellency Nana Addo”

“I can see am growing fat after the league break, though, I train at home but it’s not like training with my club (Berekum Chelsea) where you are strictly instructed to do” he added.
