Lorient manager now counting on Waris for goals at Troyes

Lorient manager Sylvain Ripoll will be counting on the scoring credentials of Ghana attacker Majeed Waris for positive results at Troyes in the French Ligue 1 on Saturday.

The 24-year-old underlined his importance for Les Merlus when he hit a brace on his return to the first team squad last weekend.

Lorient manager Ripoll had demoted the former Trabzonspor forward to the Reserves squad after an altercation between the two during a league game.

But after his scoring return, he is expected to shoulder the scoring responsibilities with Lorient having to keep up their winning ways.

Waris has now scored six (6) league goals in 14 appearances for the Oranges who are occupying 14th spot on the Ligue 1 table with relegation staring at them.
