MTN FA Cup round of 32 draw: Asokwa Deportivo to face holders

The round of 32 draw of the MTN FA Cup was held on Tuesday, June 5 in Accra drawing an interesting Adansi derby between top-flight side Ashgold and former premier league side New Edubiase at the Len Clay Stadium at Obuasi.

The game promises to be a keen one with the rivalry between both clubs.

Defending champions, Asante Kotoko would play lower tier side Asokwa Deportivo at the Baba Yara Stadium in another regional derby, whilst last year finalist Accra Hearts of Oak travel to the Volta region to face Bebeto FC.

Thirteen (13) Premier League clubs, Eleven (11) Division One clubs and Eight (8) Division Two teams made it to this stage of the competition with the teams grouped into three zones according to their geographical locations.

All 64 clubs at this stage would be getting at least GHC 2,500 plus GHC 500 of recharge voucher. Best player in every game will also take home GHC 100 of MTN recharge voucher.

The Round of 32 matches will be played on the MTN FA Cup weekend of Friday, June 8, to Sunday, June 10.
