Telecommunication giant MTN, has expressed sadness over the tragic accident involving players and technical team of Kumasi Asante Kotoko that led to the death of the team’s assistant equipment manager.
MTN Ghana is saddened by news of an accident involving players and officials of Asante Kotoko who were returning to Kumasi after a football match at the El-Wak Stadium in Accra.
We are even more saddened by the passing of the Assistant Equipment Officer, Mr. Kofi Asare, as a result of the accident. We offer our heartfelt condolence to the family of Mr. Kofi Asare, and we pray that his soul finds rest in the life beyond.
A delegation from MTN met club officials and visited the accident victims at the Komfo Anokye Accident and Emergency unit.
