Drama unfolded at the VIP section of the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi last Thursday when about 30 soccer fans, including women, stormed the place in search of application forms to enable them watch the upcoming Ghana/South Korea international friendly game in Jeounju.

Samson Deen, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Africa Origin Travel and Sports Tourism, the official hospitality package reseller for the big game, was briefing the media about the match when the incident occurred.

As Mr. Deen was about the finish his explanation on what one has to do to make the trip to South Korea, about 30 soccer fans approached him to register them in order not to be left out of the package.

Mr. Deen nearly found himself in trouble when he tried to admonish the soccer fans to come to his offices either in Accra, Kumasi or Sunyani so that they could be properly enrolled.

The enthusiastic soccer fans insisted that their monies were ready so Mr. Deen should collect them and register them for the package before it is too late. It took the intervention of other people around to calm the soccer fans.

Earlier, Mr. Deen announced that the big game would come off on June 7, 2011 and those interested are expected to register and secure their visas from now to May 25.

He disclosed that the Korean FA has allocated 350 match tickets to be sold to soccer fans residing in Ghana, adding that registration for prospective travelers starts from now to May 14.

Considering the short time for processing of documents of fans, Mr. Den implored prospective applicants to avoid delay.

According to him, two packages available for the trip include Total Half Board Fee of $ 877 and the Full board Package fee of $ 927.

He explained that while applicants would submit their own application in the former, African Origins Travel and Sports Tourism would submit the application for the applicants in the latter. African Origin Travel and Sports Tourism would clock 10 years in October, this year and they are the official ravel agents for the London 2012 Olympics Games.

They were also the official travel agents for the Ghana/England game at Wembley, early this year when they ferried 246 soccer fans to London to watch the historic match. During the 2010 FIFA World Cup, they ferried 465 soccer fans to watch the Mundial and also took 148 people to watch the women Under-20 tournament in Germany.
