Youngster Mahatma Otoo of Accra Hearts of Oak has been named Ghana Premier League’s best player of the season. The striker beat Berekum Chelsea’s Lee Addy and Kessben FC's marksman, Bismark Idan for the prize.

Otoo, who bagged 10 goals in the just ended season, dazzled to earn him a place in the local Black Stars team.

“I feel good and it’s not over yet. This is encouraging and I look forward to a promising future. It comes as a result of hard work and I would not give up. I want to go places with my career,” Otoo told Goal.com.

The Golden Boot award went to Bismark Idan and Samuel Affum of Hearts of Oak. Both strikers finished with 13 goals apiece, three short of Alex Asamoah's 16 scored for last season.
