Black Stars midfielder Majeed Ashimeru has extended his contract with Belgian Pro League side Anderlecht.
The club, in an announcement on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, stated that the Ghanaian has signed a new contract that will run until 2027.
“Majeed Ashimeru has extended his contract with RSC Anderlecht until 2027. The Ghanaian midfielder has thus signed for two extra seasons,” the club wrote.
Speaking with the club's media, Ashimeru acknowledged Anderlecht for his growth and expressed gratitude to the fans.
“In the last three seasons at RSC Anderlecht, I have grown as a player and as a person. I’m very grateful to both the club and the fans for their continued support over the past years,” Ashimeru told the club's official website.
Ashimeru joined Anderlecht on an initial six-month loan deal in 2021 before signing a permanent contract at the end of the 2020/2021 campaign.
He signed a four-year deal which was set to run out this summer, but his renewal will see him stay at the club for three more years.
