Lorient manager Sylvain Ripoll has relegated Ghana striker Abdul Majeed Waris to the club's second string side following his rift with the player.
The forward clearly didn't take too kindly to Sylvain Ripoll's decision to sacrifice him after being reduced to ten men, and went straight to the dressing room after being subbed in Lorient's 1-1 draw with Montpellier last weekend.
He was criticised by his manager after the match, with Ripoll admitting his dissatisfaction at the forward's behaviour.
"It was the kind of behaviour that I don't like to see," Ripoll said after the match, as per Ouest France, "and that I want to battle because I don't like it."
As if to make his point, Ripoll opted not to take Waris with the team to Alsace for their French Cup Round-of-16 match against CFA side Sarre-Union on Wednesday evening.
And now the former Trabzonspor forward has to play against the third-tier side as he has been demoted to the Lorient second string side.
