Trabzonspor's Ghana international striker who has been targeted by Manchester United, Abdul-Majeed Waris, has been transfer-listed by the Turkish side.

According to a report in the Turkish media on Thursday, the Ghana international will be allowed to leave the Turkish giants by next month when the transfer window opens.

Recently, Waris admitted he was thrilled with reports linking him with United and if news of the latest developments winds its way back to Old Trafford, it will surely catch the attention of Louis van Gaal, should the interest be genuine.

Waris hasn't featured for his team as much as he would expect and current manager Ersun Yanal has given his permission to the board for Waris to leave the club.

The 23-year-old only arrived at Trabzonspor in the summer after appearing for Ghana at the World Cup in Brazil and president Ibrahim Haciosmanoglu says he won't be allowed to leave on the cheap.

“We have received offers for some of our foreign players. A €12 million offer has been made for Waris,” Haciosmanoglu said.

“The bid has come from Qatar, but we will not sell him for anything under €20 million. We know Manchester United are monitoring him too.”

Waris has three goals for the Ghana national team and previously played for Spartak Moscow and BK Hacken before moving to Turkey.

After struggling in Russia, Waris had a short loan spell in France this year where he scored nine in 16 games, attracting the attention of clubs like United.
