Daasebre Osei Bonsu II, Mamponghene at the weekend donated a set of jerseys and three footballs worth over two million cedis to Kumapim Royals Football Club at Asante-Mampong.
The donation formed part of the activities marking this year's 'Kontonkyi Akwasidae' festival which is celebrated annually at Mampong and used as an occasion to raise funds for the development of the Mampong Traditional Area.
Daasebre Osei Bonsu volunteered to the life patron of the club, which has suffered financial constraints since the commencement of this year's Division One League.
Alooke Opoku, the Public Relations Officer of Kumapim, received the items on behalf of the management and players of the club and thanked the Mamponghene for the kind gesture.
He urged spirited Ghanaians and Mampong citizens to emulate the chief.
