Kumasi Asante Kotoko's first choice goalkeeper Felix Annan has revealed his greatest inspiration comes from former Manchester United and Holland goalkeeper Edwin Van der Sar.
The Kotoko shot stopper has been one of the best goalkeepers in the country and was part of the Black Star B team that won the WAFU tournament.
Felix Annan was a key member of the Kotoko team that won the MTN FA Cup last season against fierce rivals Accra Hearts of Oak.
The former WAFA goalkeeper revealed he is inspired by former Holland goalkeeper Edwin Van Der Sar.
"I’m 23 years old now and Edwin Van Der Sar is one I look up to. He had the complete package in qualities as a goalkeeper and I do watch his videos a lot," he told the club's website.
Despite all the praises he earns for his outstanding performances, Felix Annan says club success is more important to him than personal glory.
"As a player, personal glories are almost always tied to your club’s successes and that’s what I look forward to; winning more trophies for the club for the club so I get my name in there in the annals of the club’s history someday in future. I want to be remembered in the history of Asante Kotoko SC," he said.
