The Manhyia Palace has instructed lawyer Mujeeb Ahmed Rahman to take over Kotoko's defense of the suit filed by the club's former Executive Chairman, Dr. K.K Sarpong from lawyer Adom Appiah.

The instruction came after there was confusion over who would handle the case after both lawyers unknowingly filed a defense for the reigning league champions on separate days.

Lawyer Adom Appiah had been picked by the board of the club as it's counsel for the case but will now make way for the Manhyia mandated attorney.

Allsports.com.gh understands that the Board and management have been asked stay out of the case since Manhyia wants to handle all aspects of the case with the palace confident that Lawyer Ahmed Rahman will shoot down the claims of Dr. K.K Sarpong who is seeking to retrieve monies he claims he loaned to the club during his tenure.
