Margaret Simpson wins Women's Javelin at GAA Championship

Heptathlete, Margaret Simpson has picked up the gold medal at the ongoing Ghana Athletics Association Circuit Championship in Sekondi.

The 3-time Africa Athletics championship gold medalist won the Women's Javelin division with an impressive throw of 50.30 metres.

Speaking to reporters after she was crowned, Margaret remained coy about her participation in the upcoming 2018 CommonWealth games which will be held in Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia.

" i dont know oooo'' she said, ''me i just came here to play with the kids'' she concluded.

The 36 year old Ghanaian won bronze medal at the 2005 World Championships in Götzis, setting several personal bests in the process.
