Ghana winger Andre Ayew’s imminent departure from Olympique Marseille has been confirmed after the club’s president Vincent Labrune stated they do not have enough money to keep him.
The 25-year-old deputy Black Stars captain has been linked to Roma, Inter, Sampdoria, Tottenham and Liverpool as he prepares to leave the Stade Velodromme after eight seasons.
“We can’t keep Ayew. He is a very important player for OM but we can’t offer him the kind of money English clubs can offer,” Labrune told the media.
