Marseille sweat on fresh Andre Ayew injury

French Ligue 1 side Olympique Marseille have confirmed Ghana star Andre Ayew is complaining of a groin injury.

The 22-year-old is recovering from a shoulder injury he suffered in February during Ghana's 2012 Nations Cup campaign.

He is on the verge of regaining full fitness and has played in two pre-season friendly matches against Benfica and Nimes Olympique.

But the winger has complained of another setback at training and Marseille doctors will assess the extent of the injury.

"Leyti N'diaye complains of the Achilles tendon and Andre Ayew complains of groin," a club statement read.

Italian giants Inter Milan are reported to be in talks with Ayew's representatives to sign him.
