Mawuko Afadzinu, President of the Ghana Table Tennis Association has made history by being elected as the Executive Vice President, Marketing of the African Table Tennis Federation (ATTF). The election took place during the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the continental body, held at the African Union (AU) headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
The ATTF AGM brought together stakeholders to discuss key issues, strategic plans, and the future of African table tennis.
Afadzinu emerged victorious, securing 22 votes against Uganda's Robert Jjagwe's 18. The election was witnessed by 40 delegates present at the AGM, representing various African nations. This milestone victory underscores Afadzinu's dedication and expertise in table tennis development.
As Executive Vice President, Marketing, Afadzinu will play a pivotal role in promoting table tennis across Africa. His vast experience and knowledge will be instrumental in enhancing the sport's visibility, attracting sponsorships, and fostering growth.
As Afadzinu assumes his new role, he is expected to drive innovative marketing strategies, strengthen partnerships, and increase participation in table tennis events.
